Embedded into the body (see close up) of this handmade custom pen is a metal section from the original B-25 now referred to as the "Sandbar Mitchell".  I create my extensive collection of custom pens using authentic real metal pieces from WWII warbird aircraft.

With each pen I include a 4 x 6 Certificate of Authenticity card with information about the aircraft and the origin of the metal I've embedded into the pen body.

The metal components are plated gun metal and chrome.  It operates with a simple 1/2 twist and comes with a Parker compatible refill.  Parker compatible refills are easily found on this website or at your locate office supply store.  Refill instructions are included.

The B 2 Mitchell is the same aircraft type used in the Doolittle Raids over Japan

On June 27, 1969, North American B-25J, USAAF Serial Number 44-30733, made an emergency landing on a sandbar in the middle of the Tanana River outside Fairbanks, Alaska.  After being abandoned forty-four years, the Warbirds of Glory Museum successfully recovered the aircraft on July 5, 2013 where it is being restored.

Authentic aluminum skin section from the 'Sandbar Mitchel' is embedded into this historic pen.

I also custom make a collection of historic WWII aircraft pens - each with material from the featured aircraft.  Most are found on this website.
