I personally handmade this pen.  Made using a colorful SEABEES logo emblem print, it is cast in resin.  I then it to shape on a lathe, sand and polish the resin.  The resin requires no maintenance.

NOTE - This is my newest SeaBees design with the blue background.  The extra photos show the pen body from different angles.

The chrome plated metal components are designed to look like a 30 caliber rifle bullet.  The writing tip is shaped like a 30 cal bullet, the top is shaped like a primer and the pocket clip is shaped like a scope rifle.  To operate, slide the bolt forward and lock in place. The pen uses a standard Parker compatible ballpoint refill available at office supply stores or through this Mission City Pens website.

No real gun or bullet parts were used to make this pen.  It is NOT capable of operation other than as a pen.

The Naval Construction Force, better known as the Seabees, was born 5 March 1942. To meet the Navy’s need for construction of advanced bases in combat zones in WWII, Rear Admiral Ben Moreell, Chief of the Bureau of Yards and Docks, requested specific authority to activate, organize, and man Navy construction units. The first Seabee units were authorized on 5 January 1942, and official authorization of the Seabee name and insignia occurred on 5 March 1942.

Look for all my custom military service branch pens including Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard here on my Mission City Pens website. Please ask if you don't see what you might be looking for as I make many more designs than I list.

For WWII history enthusiasts, take a look at the custom pens I design using real materials from warbird fighters and bombers.

I make each pen one at a time to ensure quality.  I have been making custom pens since 2005.  Experience counts.  Thanks for looking. I appreciate it.
