Personally handmade in my shop, I used the parts from a Breitling wrist watch that has been disassembled and embedded the dial with the small parts into the body of the pen. I use a carbon fiber black background. In good lighting, the carbon fiber makes the watch parts and dial appear 3 dimensional. It is then cast in clear resin, turned to shape on a lathe, sanded and polished. The watch dial will have minor imperfections as it is from a retired watch. This is a one-of-a-kind pen not to be duplicated.
This is a rollerball pen. It uses a standard German Schmidt cartridge, or other brand rollerball cartridges made to the same standard. Cartridges are available at your local office supply stores or here at Mission City Pens. I can also change the nib assembly to rollerball at no extra charge. The fountain uses standard International size cartridge refills, or you can use a converter (not included) to use the bottled ink of your color and characteristics choice. It uses a medium #6 German made iridium tip nib. I include 5 cartridges and a gift box. Please let me know if you want rollerball, other wise it will be sent as a rollerball pen.
The metal components are finished in black titanium for long wear. The cap is postable on the other end if you like the added weight and length while using the pen.
Approximate length 5 1/8", width 5/8", weight 1.9oz.
I have a selection of other similar watch parts pens available. Quality and craftsmanship guaranteed. I have been designing custom fine writing instruments since 2006. Experience counts.
Thanks for looking. I appreciate it.
Disclosure - Breitling has no association or endorsement with the manufacture of this custom pen. Breitling does not sell this pen and Mission City Pens does not offer it for sale to Breitling. Breitling is a trademarked product. The once working Breitling watch was disassembled for parts and used to make this pen.
